New data measured with Bindex®

New data measured with Bindex® was presented in IOF-ECCEO12 Congress in Bordeaux, France. The on-going study with elderly women (n = 141) showed encouraging results. The study aims to compare bone mineral density (BMD) estimate obtained using Bindex® against axial DXA. The cortical bone thickness at different locations was significantly lower in the osteoporotic subjects than non-osteoporotic. In addition, the Bindex®showed significant correlation with the femoral neck BMD measured by axial DXA (r = 0,72, p < 0,001).
